Hill Stations

Beautiful hill stations which I have explored. Do check out the detailed travelogue with pictures, to have a virtual tour and feel free to ask for any information regarding a visit to these places. Click on the images to view the travelogue.

Vagamon

This place does give complete justice to saying that this is the "Switzerland of Kerala". A good vacation destination at a distance of 80 kilometers from Kottayam - the nearest railway station. An addictive location which makes you come back again and again.

Munnar
One of the most popular hillstations of Kerala, still retains its charm even amidst the enormous number of resorts and hotels which sprang up in the area. Just ensure that you travel around so that you can still enjoy the splendid ambience created by nature.

Nelliyampathy
Another relatively unknown hill station, 40 kilometers away from Palghat offers a splendid example of nature's exuberant craft untouched by the modernization drive by humans. There are many picnic spots in and around and a 2/3 day visit will be well worth it.

Idukki
Even though this place is famous for the dam site, it also doubles up as a superb hill station. Get a complete picture of this superb destination here

Ponmudi
A beautiful hill station 60kilometers from Thiruvananthapuram

Golden Valley at Kallar and Meenmutty waterfalls could also be explored. Ideal for a day trip or for a night stay.

Sabarimala

A pilgrimage destination, amidst prestine nature. The temple is open only on 1st of every malayalam month and during the pilgrimage season in November and December.
Two travel tales are posted.
1. A pilgrimage tour

2. A bullet trip to enjoy the winding roads
